Fanart of Lyude, a character of the Game Baten Kaitos. Character belongs to Namco.
Mintaka is his hometown, but when the Empire starts to tyrannize the other countries, he tags along with the protagonist of the game to fight against his own county.
The game is a little bit of both, Steampunk and fantasy. It's quite old by now, but I still like it pretty much
I mainly used SAI PaintTool for this one, some parts also done with Photoshop CS2 and CS5 and Corel Painter 12. The flame and smoke effects were done with Flame Painter.

I'm sorry for the bad quality, but in the middle of the painting process Flame Painter didn't save it correctly (well, of course I didn't save it correctly, but didn't notice it), so on some parts the resolution is quite bad.
